Another awesome night in the youth room. (Jan. 24th) The Holy Spirit began to move thru our room in a mighty and very powerful way. We are seeing lives being changed right before our eyes. Our prayer tonight as a youth group, was that the HOLY SPIRIT would lead, guide and direct us to be more like CHRIST. One of the questions that came up tonight was, how can you forgive someone who keeps hurting you ? We must remember that we should forgive like JESUS forgave us.. His love is unconditional, it is ever lasting and it is REAL ! Youth, we need to be praying and fasting. This is our last week and we need to act like it is a final exam at school, we need to hit the book.
SELL, SELL, SELL- We need to sell all the tickets for the Valentine’s Banquet. The banquet is FEB.13th . Remember that you can sell them to other people that do not go to our church. Also, do not forget about our youth trip to “THE MOVEMENT.” It is on FEB 26 and 27. We will be leaving our church on the 26th, which is on a Friday, at 5 pm.
Tonight in youth ( Jan.17.) the flame starts to spread. As our pastor would say,”it was off the chain”. We talked about the definition of “ENVY”. Our scripture came from the book of Galatians 5:26. We talked about how envy prevents you from loving GOD.
One of our youth put it simple for us all to understand. We worry about other’s possessions and even get into their relationships so that we lose focus on everything around us including what GOD has in store for us. We must remember to keep our focus on Him because He holds the prize for our lives. We must remember that ALMIGHTY GOD has a plan and He wants us to be in that plan.
We had one youth that made a huge move tonight and she accepted JESUS CHRIST into her life.”PRAISE THE LORD.“ I told you the flame was spreading!
God is moving in a very powerful way in our youth group and we are so excited about what He has done and what He is planning on doing.. Youth, do not forget about this Sat. at 1 pm. we go hit the ice.. Bring $20.00 to eat and to pay for skate rental. HOLLA!!!
